.Of all the RD Burman+Gulzar+Lata classics, this one knocks it out of the park. RD Burman had a way of expressing subtle feelings behind Gulzarji's words with his music, without missing a single detail. Its almost as if he could read Gulzarji's mind at the time he wrote the poetry. When Lataji or Ashaji sang it for us , it was pure gold. Wow just WOW!

Compositions like this are a challenge to the current day musicians. cannot
think of a single number composed in the last ten years that stays with one
like this. simple, and God, so melodious... its a combination of rare
talents that makes such music possible. Hats off , Gulzar sahab , Lata ji ,
