helen's grandfather was spanish. her mom is half burmese and half spanish. and her dad is british.
radartx on November 10, 2008
Helen is one of the most talented actresses in Indian Cinema. No one danced with so much energy and enjoyment. Hats off to her! She has made the Indian cinema rich.
dlsb13 on November 12, 2008
Helen's biological dad is French. Her mum is half Burmese and half Spanish. After her dad died, her mum re-married a British solder whose name Helen took, so her name is Helen Richardson. They were stationed in Burma when the war broke out...the rest is a heart breaking story...her dad was killed at battle front and they have to escape.on foot to Assam...extracts from India Abroad paper.
dlsb13 on November 12, 2008
BY the time they reach Assam, her baby brother was in serious condition. Her mum & Helen ( 3 years old at that time) had been reduced to skin & bones. After her brother recovered, they moved to Calcutta - learnt Hindi and Helen got her break into cinema - the rest is history... I love her.

nityanityaViveka on February 09, 2009
Your language is indicative of your ability to form cogent arguments.
"now living in INDIA" ? you mean she has been living there since 1943 ... Go read her passport and come back to me before you go making a fool of yourself again.
FilthyEnglishHomeles on February 11, 2009

montrealvic on March 06, 2009
she is anglo indian english father and indian mother from burma. the vamp in indian movies in the 60, early 70's was always a anglo or christian( concered loose women). Indian women were shown as here asha parakeh as innnocent wearing usualy white wet saree laying in the rain on the steps of a temple praying hoping to be recused by a man. bindu, aruani irani ttook over these roles
montrealvic on March 06, 2009
then zeenat aman changed it all in hare rama hare.. by doing it all drinking smoking etc like the heroines of today the day of the new indian heroine was born
Ioulianos1974 on March 07, 2009
Her mother was an Inuit-Zulu Jehova's Witness, her father was a Saami-Papuan Shintoist and she was born on a german airship flying over international waters between Europe and America and baptized by a Zoroastrian priest. Are you all happy now?
th3dilwalebollyw0od on March 14, 2009
i love helen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *****
Ioulianos1974 on March 26, 2009
Well Helen's acting here looks a little bit funny to me, yet I find her cute. Unfortunately I don't understand what's the song about, except from "Monica, oh, my darling" and I couldn't find nowhere a translation of the lyrics. A biography of her appears in Wikipedia under the title Helen (actress).
epitomeofexotic on March 28, 2009
I totally love u dude! LMAO
Ioulianos1974 on March 28, 2009
Thank you! Actually I'm not familiar with Bollywood movies, which are not popular here in Greece. Before a few months that a Greek guy here in YT made a fake translation of this song, that is how could the Hindi words as Greek sound, I didn't even know Helen or other Bollywood stars. This kind of "translations by hearing" exists here in YT also in English as well as in Greek. So in this funny way I began to become a little bit "familiar" with Indian movies...
meinkaunhun on April 01, 2009
Classic! Helen's HOT Funny shaped Mexican with the side-burns is hilarious

lover come to me now!
monica!
look, look, he's come, he's come!

my heart blazes up, come smother it
hold me so my body's heat cools down

for these desperately thirsty lips
yours have given a thousand promises
forgetful one, how am i to go on living?
oh, yes, oh yes, oh yes!

if you respond to my plight
i'm ready, darling, to grant even that
for which you once fell at my feet
Ioulianos1974 on May 18, 2009
Well, thank you for your translation! That was kind. From the moment I saw this video, I wanted to know what this is all about. It is always interesting to know what other people sing or think in other language. The first time I saw this video, it looked a little bit funny to me, as I'm not familiar with Indian movies. I find here Mrs. Helen Richardson very cute and very nice.

I'm from the Caribbean, and that song used to be on TV sometimes. Loved it! I always remember it. When Indian cinema was at it's best.
