'Goonj Uthi Shehnai' was a resounding success at the box office. A large
part of its success was obviously on account of the fantastic songs. Each
song seemed to be painstakingly crafted by the Bharat Vyas-Vasant Desai
combo! Did you know that Ameeta was not the first choice for the role?
Another actress had auditioned for the role but Vijay Bhatt was not very
impressed by her. Her name? Mano ya na mano, Asha Parekh!
