I think she is far better then Rekha.I love Rekha,I have both films,This
version is far better,and Ash is stunning.Rekha was overweight and danced
the mujras like a nightclub dancer,with very little interpretaion and grace
..Ash has expression and dancing which very few actresses can surpass,she
got good reviews,but the film was panned ,cause critics said it was not
real Lucknow Urdu,who cares that they use a lot of hindi,at least people
understand it.

She's not Tamil, she is from there, but she is of North Indian descent. Just like I'm Canadian, but of North Indian descent. Her family has lived there for generations, but ethnically she is not Tamil.
Also, Indians who have known British ancestry are called Anglo-Indians and are known as a particular group in India.
