Don't compare Rafi sahab with Kishoreda. Both were exceptional in their
respective careers...though my favourite has been Rafi sahab. And only Rafi
sahab could sing the song this way. So stop it.

I don't doubt what you're saying but I'm not so sure about this. However,
RDB has definitely taken a lot from George Formby here and the dance-hall
genre he was so well known for. If you check the following songs you can't
fail to notice the influence: Chinese Laundry Blues (1932) When I'm
Cleaning Windows (1936) It's Turned Out Nice Again (1939)

@Shubh Chandar I respectfully disagree; there are discernible shades of
George Formby's distinctive style in this composition. Concerning the
vocals, listen to 'Rovin' Gambler' by Kelly Harrell (circa 1926); sing/hum
the opening lines "I Am A Rovin' Gambler, I Gamble Down In Town" and then
do the same with "Sar Jo Tera Chakraye, Ya Dil Dooba Jaaye". I’d contend,
if you subtract some parts (George Formby, Kelly Harrell & Rafisaab) from
the sum, nothing noteworthy remains...
