Moh'd Rafi is always remarkable in bringing out the affecting quality of
devotional recitations . The appalling treatment of innocent Sita,
resonates movingly in the character played by Kamini Kaushal. Very
instructive episode for all humanity: If even the gods are fallible, do not
worship anyone or any scripture blindly; always exercise your critical
faculty. Retain what is admirable and reject what is execrable.

A classic story from Sarat Chandra Chatterjee novel. Bimol Roy asked Kamin
Kaushal to read this story 20 times...before she was choosen to play the
lead role and she did. A heart warming story. Great composition by Salil...

No doubt Dharmesh jee Late Mohammed Raffi Sahib was really the right singer
for singing " Devotional Songs " and this is really one of the best

I love Mohammad Rafi Sahab for his didactic, devotional, emotional singing.
What a great piece of sangeet. All those involved in this song are
praiseworthy.
