Really a haunting song, I had listened to this song on loud speakers in my
school in1956 or 57, when I was in 6th or 7th class. I will play it on
Flute some day.

What a lovely song. Lata has sung it very well but Geeta is just terrific.
Geeta has simply subdued Lata in this song. Of course Shyama and Jabeen
have also done a fantastic ajob.

There aren't too many songs that LM and GD sang together. Glad to have
this rare kind of upload. It's worth noting that Jabeen Jalil was the
daughter of an I.C.S. officer-- to my knowledge the only such actress.(
Although Waheeda Rehman's father was also a civil servant, he belonged to
the I.A.S. according to her own account). Thanks to Suhanee.
