The Rafi refrain in this song is definitely inspired by an English song.
See the similarity of that and the song 'Kya Ho Din' in the film Nau Do
Gyarah (music by S.D.Burman)

This is the only song in the world that a male sings but yet sings tunes n
not words. Waah Nayyar saab. No one has been able to mimic the walk the
dance the facial expressions of Johnny walker. He truly was the greatest.

OPN did experiment with some songs and this was good .Rafi sahab always did
very good justice to his songs specially OPN "s songs and to top it all
Shamshad begam the great was superb in singing OPN songs May God give peace

O P Nayyar's best magical composition. Wonderful experiment, Rafi sahib not
singing the lyrics but voice used as interlude music. I am bereft of the
