are undoubtedly the most powerful lyrics of the song because of the meaning and watching the video the madness of love that the characters display at the time. Those lines stick with me everytime i listen to the song.

Exactly. Many of you may disagree...But according to me; DDLJ was just a cliched crap! Bombay was less popular probably because it was not a direct Hindi film..It was dubbed from Tamil.
Neverthless, this song is considered as a classic and included among the all-time best Hindi songs of the 20th Century.

Lagaan,Rang de basanti , Taare Zameen Paar all deserved worldwide recognition which they never got..but slumdog had english people at the production level so bias against We Indians was not applicable for slumdog,hence slumdog got worldwide recognition..
