amanat ali has followed lata's version very closely. but his version makes
me cry. its like a little boy singing to his even littler brother. both are
masoom. muskuraaoon kabhi to lagta hai jaise hoton pe karz rakha hai ...
the words are more touching when amanat sings this particular song. he's a
great singer. but of course so is lata. she's a legend.

created for the 1983 film Masoom. Music by RD Burman and Lyrics by Gulzar.
Originally sung by Lata mageshkar and Anup Ghosal.. To compare
RD-Gulzar-Lata trio with some new singer is just ridiculous! Don't compare
legends like Lata Mangeshkar with some random new singer. Lata's version is
definitely better.
