Comments on song "Tumi Piya Chikara Hu"
chaitanyajosh on April 13, 2009 Thanks a million for this rare clip !!!
Nayan Yagnik on April 14, 2009 Nice upload! I was looking for the song but itis not in the VCD of the
movie, released some time back. Have you noticed that though the song is
supposed to be in Rome, the hero-heroine are in Mumbai's studio only!
Vijay Krishnan on April 14, 2009 what a brilliant song and of course Guru at his best. Thanks a lot. Cheers
Dilip S. Coulagi on March 12, 2010 And the car has its steering wheel on the right! In those days they didn't
spend a huge amount to take everyone to the foreign location.
kcpingle on May 24, 2010 if "Ta Mi" is the right pronunciation instead of "Tu Mi" - i would say that
the poet/MD has taken a poetic license. Rest of the words "piaci cara" are
pronounced correctly by Kishore, AFAIK. Again a sort of Hindi-word is
indicated in words sounding like "tumhi" & "Piya"
Srinivasan Channiga on July 27, 2010 Great song by Burmanda. Tune used by R.D. in Great Gambler (again Italian
scene) I think. Perfect audio. Thanks for uploading.
TheUsha84 on July 23, 2011 Great duet, one of Kishore and Asha's best...In the 3rd para Kishore sounds exactly like Manna dey when he sings ' Are dil mera jhale jhale.
Jitesh Arya on December 10, 2011 Wow. Heard this when I was a kid and suddenly recalled it today. Showed it
to mom dad. Even my mom hadn't heard of this, dad knew :) Thank you for
sharing. Surprised to find there were colored movies (more like colored
scenes) back in 1960.
Sundar Raman on January 10, 2012 i saw this film when it was relesed but dont remmber it was in color -the song. Some films had songs in color. The title of the film will show 'partly in color'
Rajarshi Chakrabarti on June 03, 2012 one line sung by Manna dey so as in the song MIchael hain to cycle hain.
wotsinanaam on June 16, 2012 It's "Tu Mi" not "Ta Mi"- Tu Mi Piaci is an oft-used phrase in Italian, and
Tu is pronounced exactly like 'Tu' in Hindi.
wotsinanaam on June 16, 2012 Nope, there isn't even a remote resemblance between this song and the one
from the Great Gambler.
Srinivasan Channiga on May 15, 2013 Appreciate your observation. Yes at 4.31 it is Manna Dey singing just one
line 'Arey dil mera jale jale'. But why such gimmicks were introduced by
Dada and his son in this movie- nobody knows!
Live Images on August 08, 2013 In the third Para, the voice is of another musical genius, Manna Day. This
used to be a ploy of I S Johar to keep mistakes in his movies to be pointed
out by biewers, in this case a line lipsynked by Manna Day for Kishore
Kumar. I S Johar never really bothered about sensibilities as long as
everyone had fun "Watch a movie "BADHTI KA NAAM DAARHI")
