director...but as a singer he was Chitlkar...WHY? Very simple he wanted to

dipiaar on September 17, 2010 @derubala Before 1942 , C.Ramchandra composed music for Tamil and Marathi
films with the name R.N.Chitalkar.In 1942,producer Jayant Desai signed him
as music director for his film ' Bhaktraj ' & suggested him to assume some
screen name.At that time V.Shantaram [again a Maharashtrian person ] was
very popular in Hindi film industry. So the name Ramchandra Narhar Chitalkar
became C.Ramchandra.

Dharmesh Kumar on September 17, 2010 @ursaheli :-) Welcome
Dee Thakore on September 17, 2010 @dipiaar I read some where that he used c. Ramchandra for the film that was
produced in Madras. But you're correct ! now most important thing about
him: he was the most patriotic person, and that's the way he will be
remembered by us for ever.
