chamogaa on November 01, 2009 MB lends such authenticity to a mujra song. It's as if she observed the finest mujras to get the nuances right.

nandu1f on December 03, 2010 Another Devdas classic. Heart rending scene, when Devdas is seeing Chandramukhi last time ever, and both know that to be the case. Mubarak Begum's emotive singing here brings out all the turmoil in Chandramukhi's voice to express her true and slefless love for Devdas. I don't think any other movie like Bimal Roy's Devdas could be made for such a sad story as Devdas'. I wish someone would find and upload the video of this song from the movie. It is an unforgettable scene. Thanks Ajay ji.
ombrahma on December 04, 2010 I think every generation has its own version of devdas movie. I saw this movie in a matinee show in late sixties. My dad told me to see "aslee devdas" with Saigal. Luckily, it was playing in a matinee a month later. I saw it. Everything was great, until the song "Dukhke din ab bitat nahee". After the song, devdas fires his gun, a towngirl engrossed in the song loses her matka, devdas runs after her screaming paru, paru. "Are tum?" In the nasal voice girlrespnds,"Haan Mein". Sounded Funny

atulks on June 10, 2012 Vyjayantimala wrongly refused the best supporting actress Filmfare Award
because Devdas's all decisions, good or bad were due to Parvati, not
Chandramukhi.
PRADEEP NABAR on June 24, 2012 THIS SHOT IS A MASTERPIECE. VAIJ HAS LIVED THIS ROLE. AND OF COURSE , THAT
IMMORTAL GAZAL SUNG BY MUBARAK BEGHUM THAT FOLLO WS THE END OF THIS SHOT
Vishnu Sharma on October 27, 2012 The difference between Baru's Devdas and BimalRoys Devdas.Barus was abou
Saigal and Bimal Roys's about SharatChandra, the novelist.Barua made a
film, Bimal Roy created a master piece. Perhaps the best movie ever
made, anywhere in any language.Read the novel first then watch both the
movies, and decide your self without any prejudice.
ThIsiSMyVeryWorld on November 24, 2012 I nvr warch this verson and original. I love devdas by srk so much. I enjoy
it so much cos the film is complete. The music, setting..everything. but
the most I like about devdas srk's acting. I'm not a fan at all. But his
acting is so marvellous in the movie that makes me live watching it.. Its
the only movie I love for this generation. But its a remake. I think I
should try watching the original and this one.,,
Pradip Garde on December 23, 2012 Such a beautiful song but the video clipping shows other songs of Devdas
and Sadhana.. effect is totally lost
ThIsiSMyVeryWorld on June 03, 2013 Nope. This id definitely not the original one. Some said the first one was
in 1928, silent film. But the famous first one is in 1935, in bengali.
2TKP on June 04, 2013 The first time Devdas was attempted on the silver screen, was in the silent
era. PC Barua and Jamna are the lead actors in this silent version produced
and directed by PC Barua. The in 1935, New Theatres recreated this magical
story in the timeless classic starring KL Saigal. It was made both in Hindi
& Bengali. This video clip is from the 1955 version by Bimal Roy, which is
the third version. I do not have specifics handy, but Devdas has been made
in other languages also.
Amarjit Madan on September 30, 2013 A superb compositin by Sachin da and sung by Mubarak begum is so touching
that itis still plesant after almost fifty years.
