We used to put only this song on Juke Box in 1963 when SJ's Dil Ek Mandir

Shailendra did not have a large body of work with S D Burman. S D Burman's
favorite lyricists were Sahir Ludhianvi, Majrooh Sultanpuri and in the
later years Neeraj. But whenever Shailendra and S D Burman have combined,
they have given gems, of an outstanding quality for you to post and for us

I had been searching for this song for ages! This lovely song brings back
such pleasure and sentiments that only a truelove can understand. I am
being animated. What a beautiful duet with Suman Kalyanpur. What we
remember from childhood we remember for ever. A couple of hit songs Mukesh
had sung with this young lady and this one of them. What a privilege to
hear music likethis. O dear unseen friend you are doing a wonderful job.

What a beauty of a song! Suman and Mukesh at their romantic best. Asha Parekh looks an angel in simple make up and costumes ( she was so over made up in most of her movies! ). She came out with an excellent dance ( "Nache man") too.

Back in 1992 I was working in the ABC Television when I met one Stage Hand
who knew LataJee and Mukesh. He told me the story but I read this and it
was in the TV news when Mukesh had heart attack and he expired. In my
collection I have song of Mukesh from the film ANNADATA1953 Music by
Mohammad Shafi, Produced by OMAR KHAYYAM FILMS. I saw this movie in the
year 1956 when I was 12 years old. I cannot upload if any body is
interested to listen to this song can post his/her willing...
