Mr Bachchan's movies, in the '70's had a disturbing social message. The
hero, try as he might, cannot get out of the social morass he finds himself
in. Neither the hero, nor society is to blame for this. It's just the angst
in the situation, that he finds himself in, vis a vis society. But, the
movie, Don, was a refreshing change, from this trend.

I gree with many that amitab and helen are natural at it. whereas Kareena
does not have the body like helen. Helen is so swift and so gracious at the
same time . Helen is a champ when it comes to situation like this.

maybe kareena is not a talented dancer compare with helen.. but for me,
kareena acting much believable.. she can express clearly the character how

I dont understand why are you guys comparing the old and new versions of
this song.. this is a masterpiece and the new one will always be a copy.
Don't forget that this came 25 years back, such composition and performance
back then should be appreciated.

Yes,totally agree!Many reasons,one that Helen is a much better dancer than
Kareena n another is that u can see the lines of Helen's abdominal muscles
when she dances-just enough muscle (to remain feminine),n Kareena well
there was just way too much jiggle going on during her dance.U just can't
do a Helen routine without being in shape (u don't have to be skinny-as
Helen is not skinny-but u have to be toned) to carry it off.

Yes, I agree SRK was great in Don 2, but I tried to watch SRK's Don n
couldn't get through the first 45 mins. When u do a remake, the actors have
to accept that htere will be comparisons drawn n he didn't measure up. But
in Don 2 he was awesome! It made me smile ( I was losing faith in him but
he restored it with this movie). :)

that in those days and w/o this type of music and song no one stands,

I so wish they didn't remake this movie, it had it's own level of
popularity.sorry, but SRK and Kareena just. overdone their roles...
remakes should be banned, seriously the newer version don't have the

Absolutely amazing song. I don't think anyone could have pulled off that
sultry sound like Asha Bhosle. Helen and Amitabh really captured the
essence of the video. I listened to the remake, and tried not to make too
much comparisons. However, it cannot even come close to the original. My
main complaint is that the atmosphere and essence of the original was not
captured. It doesn't have to be a note for note remake, just capture both
those aspects and it would have been great.

everyone SHUT UP helen was stunning during her time, Kareena is beautiful
during hers Kareena wasn't playing Helen- she was playing the same role in
a remake fact of the matter they are probably both 10 thousand times more
stunning than more than half of the people commneting on this stream- so

Guys, stop comparing.. lets accept.. If Helen was not there, this song
woudn't be so popular.. Then it wouldnt be copied by Kareena, and there
wouldnt be any comparison at all. Helen had the guts to perform in those
times what none of the girls do relative to this time. Check out "Aaj Ki
raat, koi aane ko hai", and other numerous other hits.. Now count the hits
by Kareena.. :)
