One of my favorite song, first time I didn't understand the lyrics. But
it is a superb one. Little trivia: Sudharshan Fakhir was new to Industry
and wanted to work with MadanMohan for this song, but Madanmohan was no
more for that. But still he enjoyed working with Jaidev another
Maestro...

The lyrics are actually a kind of "taunt" or marking an irony where a
person in love is complaining "zindagi mein. when i didn't have the
hurt and the pain (inflicted by you/loving you) Itne tanha .. i was so
lonely that i was not even myself!!!

Another magnificent composition of Jaidev- right down the alley for
Bhupinder. Anuradha Podwal, is an interesting choice who does do justice to
this song...many of Jaidev's other masterpieces have Lata. Thanks for
posting this gem.

Wow! I cannot believe this is Anuradha Paudwal. Are you sure this is her? I mean, she has sung this song amazingly well. I wonder what happened to her afterwards, especially the later movies, my God! terrible...

A great song. Extremely well written. It is a great pity that the Hindi
film industry did not use the talent of Sudarshan Fakir properly. Jaidev
was a great composer who had composed many songs for Dada Burman also. Dr
