Yes, highly talented female singers during those years did not get their
due. Monopilistic tactics were some times used by certain female singer(s)
to edge out competition. Why block other talent? People some time tend to
forget that there is nothing permanent in life; everything is transient.

Sahir means Magician in Persian I think. If it is so then Sahir was a real
magician of words. Perhaps his realism and the Left leanings must had
deprived him of the place he deserved in literary circles. Sadly idealism
and realism has always been brushed under the carpet by the capitalist who
wield the power. The movie Mother India, should had been knocking off every
foreign movie oscar(s) but who wants to listen to the truth?
