zindagi me hamesha haste raho, Hasna zindagi ki zarourat hai.
zindagi jiyo toh iss tharah se jiyo ki, tumhe dekh kar sab ko lage ki,
zindagi kitni khubsurat hai. Phoulon ki mehek churana hai mushkil, suraj
ki kirne chupana hai mushkil, aap aur hum mein kit nahi fasla ho, hum aapko
bhulana hai muskil.

baat karhte hai, aap salamath rahe ye fariyaad karthe hai, ab kuch lafzon
mein kya kahen ki hum aap ko kitnaa yaad karhte hai. pal pal se bantha hai
ehsaas. ehsaas se bantha hai vishwas, viswaas se bantha hai rishtey,
rishton se bantha hai koi khaas jaise aap. Na chahat hai sitaron ki, na
tamanna hai nazron ki, jab hum jaise ek dost miljaye toh kyaa zarourat hai
hazaron ki.

Anyone from my generation who grew up in the Rafi ages will agree that this
is Rafi at his peak. Indian songs and indian music also at their peak. With
regards to the argument about religion, my view is that music has no
religion because it is in itself a common religion and is followed by all
music lovers. Everyone wants to make a claim on Rafi. To those people I
will say that Rafi, the singer does not belong to any single group. Not
even his own family or India. He belongs to the whole world.

The Magic of Mohd Rafi, Majrooh Sultanpuri's poetry and the hauntingly
beautiful tune of Laxmikant Pyaraelaal. Most of us often credit just the
singer and music composer, the song writer goes for a walk but friends one
of the critical aspect that sets apart these songs is the beautiful and
meaningful lyrics - if I am not mistaken Majrooh saheb has written more
songs in Bollywood than any other song writer.

A timeless classic! Splendid acting by Sudhir Kumar for a memorable song
composed by LP, sung by Mohd. Rafi and penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri. I have
noticed that majority of the posters on YouTube don't mention the lyricist
at all although lyrics are an important ingredient of the song. When
individuals do so, one may pardon them. But when a poster like Rajshri does
it, it is not excusable.
