Songgaan: thanks for your opinion. U give lata too much credit. She is not
known for very high notes. 99 percent of her songs were low to medium
notes. Suman, in her brief career sang higher notes, specially in a couple
of duets with rafi. Lata herself says that music directors composed
different music for me and rafi. Suman matched rafi in the high notes,
whereas lata stayed below rafi in her high notes. Do listen to the lata
rafi duets and Suman rafi duets and u may notice the difference.
