Watch Nanda's lips. She did not just move them like many actresses do. She
actually sang the song. You can even see her tongue moving. She acted the
song very well and did justice to Sharda voice. Sharda was one of Jaikishan
"invention". But Lata kept the gate firmly closed for any newcomers. Lata
was very nasty when it came to other female singers emerging. That was her
dark side.

If Lata can be compared with Sharda, then I am eligible to be compared with
Rafi or Kishore! I am a researcher of "Old Hindi film music" and I know the
inside stories; don't make any comment without knowing anything. If Lata
and Asha would have played games, then these singers wouldn't have sung any
single song !!!

Rafi was a gifted singer.Other singers put so much effort in their singing
while Rafi sang the hardest of songs with such ease that he gained the
praise and respect from all great MDs .In his live shows he used to sing
song in other languages on the spot ,giving the tune himself! He was a
class in himself .

Compare the songs - " Roop tera mastana " from Aradhna - a Kishore, RD
,Rajesh Khanna triology and this one Rafi saab, SJ, any old hero. The
latter set is more effective and natural. Mr. Bharat keeps safe distance as
usual and still satisfies the demand of situation.. Rafi saab and SJ are at
thier best.
