I have seen the movie, one of the better films from the old era. One
woman's life is ended, two sisters lose a precious sibling, and one new
bride's life is ruined, by the tragedy stemming from unreal expectations
built up because of false clues and because no one stated any word on the
weightiest matter early and clearly. It's a sad commentary on parts of our
culture. Is Bewafaa Jahaan Ka and Lagan Lagi Hai are two other Lata songs
from this movie that I love dearly.

Kadam phoolon pe padta hai nazar taroon pe jaati hai: What lovely
imagination, literally fitting to the swing ride being enjoyed by two
maidens with feelings of romance budding inside! All Naata songs are gems.
Credit to singers, to be sure, but also the lyricist and the MD. I once saw
an interview with S. Mohinder. He came across as totally humble. His simple
humanity struck me as much as his musical gifts. Thanks, COS.

da , have you seen the movie and all the songs ? i did not know about the
movie and never heard about these songs before i joined yt ! really , there
are eleven songs i think including a qawwaali . and the music is excellent
besides the shimmering gems sung by lata ji !
