Beautiful movie, Amazing songs! This one is my favourite. Few years ago in
Mehrangad Fort in Jodhpur a tourist guide showed us the small 'chhatri'
built over Zubeida's Kabr. I had just seen the movie then, it was a sombre
feeling to actually be there. He said the 'queen' played by Rekha was still
alive. He said Zubeida was buried like a commoner in a very hush hush
manner to cover up her extra marital affair with the young King. Even her
existence was denied by the Royalty after her death.
