A song bred with melancholy, shattered dreams, unfulfilled desires and
finally unrequited love. The sorrowful wording and poetry, pensive
expressions of Asha Parekh and circumstantial tragedy are all overshadowed
by the excellent direction of Sahkti Samanta. At one instance, before
saying "Akash se giri main ik bar kat ke aisay", she momentarily directions
her searching looks towards the invisible protagonist, Rajesh, who then
appears on the next screen . It is something for a keen eye.
