Arshians Arshians everywhere <3 who would have thought that people would
watch this song not for the bollywood star Bipasha Basu but for tv actors

@politicophobia Yes, true. You're totally right. (Just continuing the
convo) Its disheartening to still see this perpetuation of lightness =
good. Indians have been dealing with self-hatred issues for 2 long :( I
wish we could be more accepting. My mother (very fair) NEVER focused on
people's complexions and did not ever make value judgements about skin
tone. She would ask why that mattered if anyone brought it up. I admire and
respect her for that. Wish more people would take her attitude.

I wish the Bollywood establishment would realize that beautiful Indian
women come in ALL shades and from ALL parts of India...not just the north
Indian/Punjabi type. Some of the most beautiful women I've seen were from
the south. Skin color doesn't matter, it's the facial features and
expression of the person. Some of those Bollywood girls are average and
even kinda ugly (the Kapoor sisters), yet they get consideration because
they are lighter???
