A very beautifully sung song by Alka yagnik and Udit. Singers after Lata and Asha viz. Kavita, Alka, Anuradha, Sadhna, Chitra they were all very good. All of them had their unique style of singing, had modulation in voice. Their voice was different in each song. Today when i listen to the new singers like Shreya , Sunidhi etc. They are also maintaing the standards but there is once catch. Each song of shreya is perfectly sung but if you notice, the voice does not changes with each song.

Indian film industry produces some 800 films a year, that is an average of
over 2 films a day. For this a lot of stories are required. This is why we
find many films with similar stories. This one reminds me of Jab Jab Phool
Khile by Sashi Kapoor and Nanda and Milan by Sunil Dutt and Nutan. I am
sure there are dozens more.

This version of Udit Narayan is the best and he was awarded the filmfare
award for this song.the other version of Pardesi Pardesi sung by Sanu is
not that good and at that standard...Credit should go to Udit Narayan becoz
his voice suits best for Amir Khan and moreover his voice is soothing and
good in quality...
