One cannot be so harsh on Pradeep Kumar. In this case, picturisation of the
song is bad for which the actor alone cannot be blamed. In fact most Hindi
songs-even good ones- are picturised badly as a rule. Most of Pradeep
Kumar's films-be they costume or social- had very good -more than
average-music. Just think of Anarkali, Nagin, Arab Ka Saudagar, Durgesh
Nandini,Aarti, Subah Ka Tara, HIll Station, Ek Jhalak,Bahu Begum, Bheegi
Raat, Chitralekha, Duniya Na Mane, Ustadon Ke Ustad, Mulzim, Rajhat,Taj
Mahal, Jahan Ara, Gateway of India, Ghunghat, Detective, Adalat, and many
others. It may be just chance or that he had a special knack or luck to
attract good music, which is still enjoyed. So we are the beneficiaries.
