Outstanding melody and perfectly picturised. Lataji and Rafisahab do
complete justice to S&J's composition. Heard this one after a verrry long
time..almost over 30yrs later.

Of course Lata Mangeshkar was too good; but one observes the line sung by
Mohd. Raft - "Ke jo puja ke kabil hain, wohi yu rang badlenge" just notice
how Rafisab rendered the words "rang badlenge". That was perfection
personified. That is why someone on the platform said that after making
Rafisab, the Lord destroyed the mould so that another is not born!! (though
my religious beliefs doesn't support; I am using the phrase to emphasize a
point!) Rafisab, we miss you and your humanity. More than a singer par
excellence you were a human being par excellence! It beamed on your noble
face.

My friend Shashibhushan Hegde ji informed that ..Raag Bheempalasi was a
favourite of Jaikishan. You can recall the beauty he composed in this Raag
in Dil tera deewana "Masoom chehra yeh qatil adaayein". Shankar came up
with this beauty in Bheempalasi as if it was his tribute to his departed
soul mate. Interestingly this turned out to be the last Lata Rafi duet for
SJ banner.

reflective of Shankarji's compositional greatness. Considering the
