Lyrics of Vahaan Kaun Hai Teraa Musaafir Jaayegaa Kahaan - वहाँ कौन है तेरा मुसाफ़िर जायेगा कहाँ
waha kaun hai tera musaafir jaayega kaha
dam lele ghadi bhar, ye chhaiya paayega kaha
waha kaun hai tera musaafir jaayega kaha
waha kaun hai tera

bit gaye din, pyar ke palchhin, sapna bani vo raate
bhul gaye vo, tu bhi bhula de, pyar ki vo mulaqate
pyar ki vo mulaqate
sab dur andhera
sab dur andhera, musaafir jaayega kaha
dam lele, dam lele
dam lele ghadi bhar, ye chhaiya paayega kaha
waha kaun hai tera

koi bhi teri, raah na dekhe, nain bichhaye na koi
dard se tere, koi na tadpa, aankh kisi ki na royi
aankh kisi ki na royi
kahe kisko tu mera
kahe kisko tu mera, musaafir jaayega kaha
dam lele ghadi bhar, ye chhaiya paayega kaha
waha kaun hai tera

o musaafir tu jaayega kaha

kahte hai gyani, duniya hai faani, pani pe likhi likhayi
hai sabki dekhi, hai sabki jaani, haath kisike na aayi
haath kisike na aayi
kuchh tera na mera
kuchh tera na mera, musaafir jaayega kaha
dam lele, dam lele
dam lele ghadi bhar, ye chhaiya paayega kaha
waha kaun hai tera

SHAILENDRA POETRY AND BURMANDA SINGING A LIFE PHILOSOPHY. Guide was like KALA BAZAR where S D Burman and Shailendra worked together.

This has been my refuge on youtube and online for the past two years...I keep coming back to this song again and again , somehow it soothes my heart..now with Dev Saab's sad demise its become even more lonely.

A song that haunts because it's so compelling, so brutally truthful about the ultimate reality of all existence, a reality now also represented by the extinguished breath, but not the spirit, of Dev Anand.

SD Burman has sung a few songs, but most of them have been masterpieces.
He might not have the silky smoothness of a Rafi but his voice just adds a touch more reality to everything.
