I met devanand when he visited Tampa, FL to attend Indian convention and his autobiography signing last week . He still looks young over 80 yrs old. I showed him his Taxidriver pic and he lauged " Goofy guy "

This is one of the greatest songs ever.Did you know that the interlude was played by my father Mr HS Lall on the ISRAAJ.He passed away 2 years ago.Israaj is a Bengali instrument. Its nice to hear it again and again.

I think so. It was Geeta Dutt's turn to sing and Rafi sahaab forgot to pause. O.P.Nayyarji probably decided to overlook that one small overlap and did not do a re-recording of the song. Eventually, it was covered up in the shooting of the song and how beautifully done!

Geeta and King Rafi . Evergreen immortal hit . Dev and Shakila rock. Anyone
who is familiar with Bollywood knows this song though this song is 55 years
old. Unlike the songs of nowadays which are there today gone tomorrow. The
beauty of this song is that Rafi has only one line to sing which he keeps
repeating for every stanza but we dont ever get bored. We really wait for
