@straygypsy. it is all according to genes but going more in depth to that. All people have one of three types of traits: dominant, recessive, or heterozygous. Dominant would be brown eyes and they have no chance of having blue eyes. Recessive would be blue eyes, and heterozygous would be both but since brown is stronger it overpowers. It is possible that both of her parents were heterozygous and so when their genes mixed and separated it left only the recessive parts of both of their genes.
