Only Rafi had the classical training in Ghazal singing. Kishore was no where close to Rafi style and depth. Kishore is a great Pop singer not a classical singer

i love laila majnu when i was lil mom used to tell me the story.the greatest of lovers were Laila/Majnu,Shreen/Farhad,Romeo/Juliet,warka/gulshah,usif/zuleha.None of these lovers reached the victory to Love.The true lovers never reach to the freedom to their love either they commit sucide/killed or Move on when they see no point to it.

After completing haj Rafi saab insisted that he would retire from singing but madan mohan insisted for weeks that he would only have rafi saab singing for laila majnu. It was only for Rafi saabs children who persuaded him to sing. And at the time this broke all record sales it shows that their is only 1 great singer this world has ever seen and that is Mohammad Rafi.

The way M. Rafi Sahab was treated in film industry, especially the Kishore-Pancham combination in 1969 (From Aradhna), It's a sad and one of the inexplicable experience for any Rafi Sahab's fan. Rafi sahab was forced to sing in B and C graded movies with less recognised composers because the market forces of Indian industry demanded more Kishore songs at that time.
