To my mind - when u think of pure singers, they go in this order - from last to first - Mukesh, Kishore, Rafi & Manna - Poor Manna Dey, the best pure singer but his voice did not suit most heroes. But if we want the best male voice, we have to flip the order - it is Manna, Rafi, Kishore & the best is Mukesh. His voice had that gentle vulnerble quality & that sometimes irritating nasal tone.
