Comments on song "Chhup Gaya Koi Re Dur Se Pukar Ke"

Hemant-Lata-Suchitra Sen-- what a divine combination this song represents. The genius of the bansuri player, said to be the reputed Panna Lal Ghosh( though I am not certain), combined with the otherwise minimal instrumental play, assists Lataji's plaintive singing and makes it doubly moving in the expression of SS's agony over the loss of her beloved. Thanks,Yuan.

What a beautuful song. Best era of bollywood started in 50's and went on till late 80's. Sincerely hope, with today's talent that I see in pragramme like "little champs" and "x factor", that era , we miss, dearly, comes back. Will I be still alive to see, if it did come back, is another question.

gopal sinha on June 20, 2013
Beautiful and evergreen..!
Mani Menon on June 20, 2013
What a delicate, lovely song! All credits go to Sahir for his exquisite
poetry, Hemant Kumar for his wonderful music and Lata for her superb
rendering.
Rakesh Sharma on August 05, 2013
Dear All, please check the details properly, before commenting. IT IS NOT
SAHIR, but GR8 RAJINDER KRISHAN JI, who has penned down this immortal
melody. Please correct yourself. This is a typical example of his poetry,
who roped in hindi words magically to create a spell. He is known as "
Shabdon (words) ka Chitera( painter)", means who creates a live colorful
painting using only beautiful words, no brush, no canvass----- Salute to
this GR8 son of soil--- Dr. R.K.SHARMA
Balwanjee Jat Kahiloon on September 01, 2013
No doubt Sahir is a great poet, but this song is penned by Rajinder Ji.
Here is an extract from Indian movie date base in support of Rajinder
Krishan Ji' poetic skills: Chhup gaya koi re door se pukar ke Music:Hemanta
Mukherjee Singer:Lata Mangeshkar Lyricist:Rajendra Krishan Sahir and
Raninder ji are great poets, no preference and competition amongst them.
Both these poets, Raja Mehdi Ali Khan and Shakil have introduced literary
diction to Indian movie songs & will be relished for a long time.

reason dear Suchitra ji

Shyam Sunder on April 23, 2014
This is ethereal music from the baton of Hemant Mukherji whose tunes just
bled the heart and intoxicated the spirits. Lyrics to the best of my
knowledge by Prem Dhawan, songstress is none other than the queen empress
of melody Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar and of course had the queen empress
of histrionics too to sing it on the silver screen
Shyam Sunder on April 23, 2014
Incidentally Late Hemant Kumar Mukherjea the legendary singer and music
composer was simply in love with chello and that instrument is predominant
in this song too
Shyam Sunder on April 23, 2014
I think Hemant Kumar and Rajinder Krishan had joined hands in Nagin where
the magic was woven with notes and words by this duo on one hand and on the
other by the dances and histrionics of Vyjaynthi Mala the queen among
dancer actresses of Hindi films
Rukhmini Devi Dasi on July 15, 2014
Great song :) I cannot understand the 12 negative voters..
