It takes me back more than 2 decades ago to a Sunday evening in Bangalore
when I was watching the song on a Black & white TV set as the movie started
at 6pm... This is a timeless classic!

though for times and places I never knew.

Madan Mohan was very underrated but every single composition of his touched
deeply like none other.

Heart is searching for the same old days of leisure, when I used to sit and
dream of my beloved.. === In other words it is similar to the song Summer
of 69 by Bryan Adams, or Purani Jeans by Ali Hyder but this one is beyond
comparison on the lyrics side by Gulzar saheb.
vaadaenmacchi on September 14, 2009
this song and the other duet version in the movie are the best songs of all
time. thanks madan mohan!

Very true hjjassal. these are fantastic lyrics.. after all the original
version of the "Mukhda" was written by the king of poet Mirza Ghalib.."Ji
dhundhta hai phir wohi fursat ke raat din... baithe rahe tasavvure jaana
kiye hue.."
daudraza1 on November 19, 2009
