Excuse my ignorance but,as a foreigner,I've never heard of such thing as American folk. It may exist but it's so underrated.Sometimes, I wonder what kind of nation would the US b if the native Americans hadn't been swept away. Would they(the British) have adopted the indigenous folkways to their lifestyle? Maybe,the US would have had a similar culture like those of Latin America.Latin America is rich in tradition, music, food and costumes but they have their own issues as well.

They should make more movies with Indian Classic dancestyles, nowadays the movies are way too modern. And madhuri and aish need to give a show, I would definitely buy a ticket! It's a pleasure for the eyes to see these excellent dancers dancing.

These points in question are not at all specific to Indian culture. They
are rather ill aspects of the human condition. Every one of those topics,
even altogether, could be raised about any specific culture or country on
this Earth. Instead of trying to down other cultures or people, take that
energy & do something constructive, positive. Lord knows many need help!
India, sir, is no "joke". A joke would be someone saying such a thing &
sitting on their rear not attempting to make a difference.

I've mostly been watching Shah Rukh Khan's films, since I started watching
Bollywood films just this year. "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" is a great
one, as well as "Dil To Pagal Hai" Also, "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" <---These
are my favorites. I'm American, by the way. ^.^
