When mehmood went to Manna day and ask him to sing the song and tell him
about the song situation Manna replied "kya baat karte ho mahmood mujhe
gane main harna parega oh bhi kishore se kya kishore mere muqable main gaa
sakta hain'' but Manna decide to teach a lesson to kishore and later he
said in one of his interview '' maine socha kishore ko aisa sabak sikhaonga
ki oh sari zindegi yaad rakhega par jab recording hua usne dikha diya ki
woh ek ginious hain usne gane ka sahi mood pakra tha,jab maine kaha ki
kishore ke classical bol kaha hain to pancham ne kaha woh apni bol khud
bana rahe hain'' the rehearsal was took place at kishore kumar's bunglow
and rest is history after this film till kishore kumar live Sunil dutt use
to address him as guru.
