melodious number is a proof why! Great upload. Thanks Kanwal
Ravi Gokhale on January 03, 2009 Love this song. Full of nostalgia for me. Many thanks my friend.
June G on April 11, 2010 Thank you so much for posting this wonderful song. I love this song bring
back memories of my student days.
MusafirHoonYaro on December 26, 2010 @yuanyuanyuanyin - would you mind sharing your playlists with me? I will be
happy to share my playlists.
yuanyuanyuanyin on December 26, 2010 - I am sorry, my friend. I do not have play lists.
I have never prepared play list all my "career" as an uploader.
Thank you.
MusafirHoonYaro on December 26, 2010 @yuanyuanyuanyin - Oh that's OK. I assumed you have cataloged your
collection of uploads. In the past, you have indicated that most of these
songs are also there in Sinhalese. Could you post a few of the Sinhalese
versions just so we can hear what they are like? Thanks.
yuanyuanyuanyin on December 26, 2010 - My dear friend, there are hundreds of Sri Lankan uploaders who have posted Sinhala songs so usually I do not post them.
However, I have posted only one song under the title of "Sri Lankan Version Of "Mera Sundar Sapna Beet Gaya" - Do Bhai [1947 ] Rukmani Devi".
Thank you.
MusafirHoonYaro on December 26, 2010 @yuanyuanyuanyin - The rendition of the song is no different from the
original one in Hindi (i.e., it is very good). Perhaps it is easier to
present it in almost the same manner as the original If the song also
conveys the same sentiment. The first two lines of the Hindi song says "My
beautiful dream has come to pass and I have lost everything in love". Does
the Sinhalese song also convey a similar feeling? Does Sinhalese have
anything in common with either Malayalam or Tamil?
yuanyuanyuanyin on December 26, 2010 - Yes, that is sad song. As I said in the description section,
"The closest meaning of the lyrics is that when Buddha [Prince Sidhdhartha] went to attain Buddhahood, leaving behind the Princess Yashodara and newly born son Rahula, how The Princess Yashodara cried. Saying "he has gone leaving behind me and his son" and also "wishing him well"."
Sinhala, Tamil and Malayalam culture is almost same and they are supposed to be "God fearing people", in short.
Thank you.
MOHAN DOSHI on October 02, 2011 Yuan, can you tell me if this song has been posted in Sinhalese. It would
be wonderful to have it. One of the best Lata - Mukesh light numbers. Anand
Bakshi sahab excelled in these light lyrics, not heavy in meaning and
philosophy, that is why he had such a long run. Often lyricists would tend
to be erudite and pour forth all their creative imagination in lofty and
high flown Urdu which would miss the general music lovers. Thanks for this
beautiful song.
MOHAN DOSHI on October 02, 2011 @yuanyuanyuanyin Why have you put the God fearing people in inverted commas?
