I love this song very much. Unfortunately I am not able to make out the
exact wording of the lines in the 2nd and 3rd stanza after the line "
Tumane to dekha hoga , ai chand taro , ?????????????????? , tumahi
pukaro.." & " kabatak jiye koi , birahake mare ,
????????????????????????? , ab to aa jao ." will somebody oblige to fill
the space of question marks with exact words. Is there a site where one can
read the lyrics of old hindi songs. Thanks.

hoga ae chand taroooo..., tumne to. kit gaye mooooore saiyyan,
tumhi pukaro hooooo tumhi pukaro jao unko itna bataaaao, haye jiya roye
roy. 3rd stanza; Kabtak jiyeeeee koi birha ki mariiiii, kabtak jiye koi
birha ki mari.chanda teri chandni mohe laage andhiari hoooo, laage
andhiari, aao saiyyan ab to aa jaao, haye jiya roye..roye haye jiya roye.

The great film director Mahboob was critically ill and was hospitalised in
USA he requested Lata didi on phone to sing this particular song for him on
phone. Lata didi sung this song for him on phone. Later he passed away in
few days. This explains the greatness of this song and Lata didi

Thanks rumahale for responding on hai jiya roye. I been humming this
masterpiece from early sixties when I came to read the incident of great
Mahboob Saab asking Late didi to sing this song on phone. There was Urdu
film monthly called SHAMA in 60s .where I read this incident. I am sure
about it.. However may be the magazine might have quoted wrongly about
this maybe what you mentioned is right.however it does not ' Effect the
greatness of either the song or Latadidi...
