Trust Khayyam to come up with such a superb tune for this song. Of course,
with Kaifisaab's exquisite poetry helping him along, I feel things may not
have been that tough for him! We'll never know. While on 'Shola aur
Shabnam', there's this stunning Rafi solo..."Jane kya dhoondthi rehti hai
yeh aankhen mujhme..." Have you wondered whatever happened to Tarla Mehta
after this movie? She just vanished into thin air!

Great combination indeed of the lyricist, music composer and the singers. I
have that "stunning solo" uploaded in my channel. I have always wondered
about Tarla Mehta - web sources were not of much help. I understand that
Tarla Gandhi (maiden name) and her sisters were highly talented. Shall be

ait is one those classic, melodious, timeless songs, rich with philosophy
and pure LOVE. Those were the days when if held the hands of Mehboob or
Mehbooba, hands were washed for a few hours lest the MEHAK is also washed
away. Kaifi Sahib would be weaving such poetry for HIM. Other classic from
