Dipankar Nath on September 14, 2013 FYI, Assamese is not the only language in Assam...after Arunachal Pradesh,
Assam has the highest number of languages in India, I hope that you learn
to appreciate the music and pay less attention to the language. Otherwise
we you will not be able to appreciate most of songs of stalwarts like AR
Rehman.

Debabrata Biswas on September 15, 2013 superb..wow.. gr8 to hear, feel.but one short information, that jhumoor
is not belongs from assam, jaha tak mujhe pata hain ye bengal ke western
part MAANBHUM jo ki aaj purulia ke naam se jana jata hain, woha ke
adibasi(mainly SANTAAL) ki lok geet hain.its belongs from there...but
anyway its great to hear in coke studio and papon da, you are
amazing..love it.
Supritam Nayak on September 15, 2013 loved the mood of the song! So refreshing... .perfect for an early morning
tune!
Rahul Shinde on September 15, 2013 such an awesome tune very refreshing n folky it sounds awesome on drums,
but those dhol n dholak should be lil louder than drums since its a folk
song

Arpita Sen on September 15, 2013 Awesome.!!!
sumit mehta on September 15, 2013 Happiness.Relaxing.
Dipankar Nath on September 16, 2013 I think Debabrata is correct...Jhumoor is present among the Santhal tribes
of India...after all they were brought by the British to Assam to work in
the tea gardens...but Jhumoor is far more popular(and accepted) in Assam to
the extent that it is a part of even our bihu celebrations, go to any Bihu
function, it will be incomplete without a Jhumoor...in any case all those
thing really doesn't matter...just enjoy the music...

Debabrata Biswas on September 16, 2013 you are correct brother, but it`s because they(santhal) were migrated long
back and now they are the part of assam..i might be wrong but history says
that...
BRKsays on September 17, 2013 Instead of being narrow minded, why don't you just appreciate good music?
It's okay if you don't like the music. But it's not okay to spew
unintentional(?) hatred. Are you really trying to say CS shows only
Assamese songs and singers? Grow up. Broaden your mind.
BRKsays on September 17, 2013 Ear soothing... Shows the rich cultural diversity of India... India is rich
in everything..
BRKsays on September 17, 2013 Haha.. India is full of wonders and amazing things..
BRKsays on September 17, 2013 Tea garden tribes are part of Assam. Whoever is saying otherwise is wrong.
They may have roots in WB, but Jhumor is widely celebrated in Assam only.
It's part of our state festival.
Freedy Mashcurry on September 17, 2013 kya hila diya ? aapna land? hahaha
what a treat!!.. Thanks coke studio for introducing beautiful Assamese
songs to us, which otherwise would never have reached us in south. Love it!.
