I could keep going. But to conclude, during the last 15 seconds, the skipping sound of the strings keeps you floating. The happy mood in this duet is in stark contrast to the sorrow projected in that other gorgeous Madan Mohan duet by Rafi and Asha in Aakhri Dao... 'Humsafar Saath Apna Chhod Chale.' What I admire about MM is that he could cover a wide range with equal effectiveness. He normally used sitar for the interludes, but here he employs the western strings and does a great job.

Great job of transposing the audio onto the "general scenes" in the film. Right on, and thank you. Madan Mohan and Rafi always excelled at delivering emotive compositions - I think their combination in SHARABI (1964) is a tour de force.

I used to listen to this song and loved it when the movie first released in very early 1970s, and after almost 40years it still sounds just as fresh and outstanding. Truely a masterpiece of a song created by the genius Madan Mohan and brilliantly sung by the God of singing Rafi sahab..and Ashaji.

i found many songs technically not included in the movie but available in ep or lp records such as one in brahmachari,ek haseena ek musafir, sweetheart (the whole movie hard to search) but the songs are very very soothing. Why, why, why..

Thanks for sharing this. i have often played this song. Today I happened to hear the original screenplay for the video and was very disappointed. For whatever reason the song seems to fit the video very well (especially during the car ride). Was it serendipitous or did you spend a lot of time figuring out where it would fit?
