The voice of mubarak Begam was rarely used by film indusries.This is the
best song among her rare song.The charm of this song is sweet voice of
flute(bansi).The musician had inclunded flute very slow and sweet. I think
no body has observed and comment regarding major use of flute(bansi) in

Also to mention - the music is by Vasudev Bhatkar a.k.a. Snehal Bhatkar. He
has given music to a lot of movies by Kidar Sharma but just like Mubarak
Begum, he was not given due recognition.

I was wondering if a system of royalty payments could have helped her if it
were in place? I have heard that the disagreement between Lata and Rafi in
60's was on account of their views about royalty ... Lata, it seems, pushed
for it but Rafi objected to it ... I see some paid movies being distributed
on YouTube (Akeli Mat Jaiyo comes to mind) I wouldn't mind paying for good
quality uploads

Kaun jaane, dost. Poor Mubarak Begum probably sang her songs because
singing was her passion. Lata, on the other hand, sang her songs because
singing was her profession. Kaafi fark hai, hai ki nahi? I laud you on your
