last year see Khwaja Moinuddeen Chisti's burial place where peoples from every cast, crede, colour and religion from every part of Indian and Foreign countries came to pay their respect.

A good way of applying raaga "Dwijavanthi" in many part of this song..I dont know how much I like this one...ARR is truly great..He knows where to apply the essence of carnatic classical raagas...

However, Ziyarat is a fixture of Islam in the subcontinent. One does not worship a saint, but venerates them. The penitent asks the saint to ask God on their behalf. Why? Because God might listen to the saint, so full of good, over the sin-ridden penitent.
Also, people visit the graves of saints to honour them as people who were close to God.
