Such a heart touching music that i always remember...may god give guru (kishore kumar) peace in the eternal life...thanks for upload.
pistachioguy on March 09, 2011
Kishore was a genius - a true nada-yogi.

The world will have to wait another 500 years before another Kishore is born.

This takes me back to those hot summer afternoons when my sister and i would come home from school in India. my dad who had a night job would be sleeping and these songs would be playing on the tape-recorder. we would jump up on him and roll hi over to make him wake up and play with us. He always did with a smile, and we would be so happy...truly all the wealth i have earned now in USA pales in significance compared to those joys that my middle class father gave us

@MrBond709 ,
so true .kishore is a GOD sent genius. can't compare genius with talented singers like rafi, mukesh, hemanta kumar, mannadey.

Jagjit Singh Ishar on April 04, 2011
kishor kumar the gr8 legend, singer lyrics writer composer actor producer
director was never recognized & given that place he really deserved &
labelled as a comedian. but during 70s his fame eclipsed rafi sahib to some
xtent. his vast talents r being revered very high now. he is the most
favorit of todays generation. the gr8 kishore da is no more with us but his
songs & his repertoire will always b remembered 2 echoe in the souls &
minds of billions. let his soul rest in eternal peace.

The pure beauty of the heart put into words, a voice and a tune that can
only be called heavenly. This is Kishore Kumar and one of my favorite
songs.
anestheziologist on April 30, 2011
Kumar Sanu was a much better singer than Kishore Kumar. Sonu Nigam is also good. Muhammad Rafi was the Legend that no one could come near in play back singing, rAFI WAS THE INSTITUTE.
amitharuray on May 10, 2011
anestherziologist 1 has lost his mind...
utubesanjay on May 17, 2011
@anestheziologist I am sure you are saying that becoz kumar sanu is your cousin or something. In fact, Kishore da does sounds like Kumar Sanu. But only when he has a sore throat.

Its ok if you like sanu. Pasand apni apni. I know some people who like vada pav more than hyderabadi dum biryani. Hehe...

And comparing Rafi and Kishore is like comparing apples and oranges.
capitalcards on June 16, 2011
@MrBond709 I am completely agree with your words..
joy m on July 09, 2011
I've listened to kishore a lot... in my final analysis kishore definitely
tops ... perhaps the world's greatest singer.
K Vineet on July 12, 2011
@nawabzadakalam - mr nawab you are saying my words in different style.. I
already said that Kishore Da did not take any formal music training yet He
is no. 1 singer till today.. there was a time ( between 1971-1977) when
Rafi sahab used to beg for a song because no one was giving him any song to
sing that is why Rafi sahab got hear attack and died. as far as reaching to
God by islam is as wrong as saying you can reach to Ram by worshiping
Ravan.
sharky1992 on July 23, 2011
So true! As we look back in time , all the material comforts of today are no comparison to those simple childhood afternoons with Kishore Da's music.

your comment bring old memories and teary eyes..
51rajiv on August 04, 2011
indian film business is oriented towards market pressures but talented
singers like M Rafi were never neglected by most of the musicians , like
Laxmikant Pyarelal , Madan Mohan, R D Burman who gave him very good songs
even when every producer was asking for Kishor Kumaar
Rizwan paks on August 05, 2011
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR "ABHAS KUMAR GANGULY" WE MISS U A LOT :(
Harivenur on August 12, 2011
@51rajiv RD Burman hated, and so destroyed Md Rafi... He forced even SD
Burman to ignore Rafi. Rafi was dejected by the way RD Burman and his likes
treated him

bachpan ki yaad aa gayee.. jab doordarhsan par har thursday ko hindi film dikhayee jaati thi... sadkon par mazdoor shaam ko ghar jaate huey, kandhe par transistr le kar chale rehte the.. uss transistor se bajte they haseen geet!

Nice song.Kishores versatility in singing different genres is unmatched.
Jagjit Singh Ishar on May 26, 2012
Its not the fact. Mohd Rafi has sung his best songs for R D Burman till
last in shaan Yama yama & naam abdul hai mera sab ki khabar rakhta hoon.
Plz donot distort the facts. Rafi was S D as well as R D favorit.
ramachandran tg on June 02, 2012
Khan is right in his observation of Kishore Kumar. His life was in shambles
with many marriages. He was a good singer rather than an actor(comedian) but
was a genius for sure!
DhaneshwurSingh on June 20, 2012

Prem ki diwangi ka hasra yahi hota hai zindagi ke mod par.is dard ko ukerti awaz kishore da ki hi sakti hai.yahi unke jeevan ka dard tha jo ubhar kar samne aayee. Unchaiyon ko chhune wale log ho ya sunder nari sabhi ke jeevan abhishapt hua karte hain.sari dunia par jadu karne aur madhuey lutane wale apne nijee jeeVan me aansuon me dube rahte hai .vidhata ka nyay samajh se pare hai.
MrFoliumofdescartes on October 01, 2012
Let us put it this way...Rafi Sahaab technically is superior to all...he
is simply the best. But KK has his own charismatic brilliance which is
unmatched.Mukesh is the greatest in conveying tragic emotions.

One of Kishore greats and- one of my favourites! I have tried this song at

Originally the song was sang by Ashok kumar when kishore da want the song
to be the part of his movie Ashok kumar said '' kishore tu e gana kaise
gayega ye raag jaanati par hai aur tujhe rag ka samaj kaha'' kishore de
reply ''Tumhare raag jaanati ko main jaanjhor ke raakh dunga par main ye
gana banaunga jaroor'' and rest is history.

Kishore Kumar should have been equally acknowledged as an actor as he was
(and is) as a singer.
