Comments on song "Kuhu Kuhu Bole Koyaliyaa"
sreenivas sripada on July 22, 2011 @akankshadevi Among hindi singers, rafi might have done good in this song.
But both rafi and lata are no match for ghantasala in any way, not even
nearer. The telugu version of this song is the original version first sung
by ghantasala and jikki and rafi after recording this song stated that I am
not satisfied with my rendering despite huge practise. Lata even wanted
this song to sing with ghantasala but ghantasala recommended rafi to
Adinarayana rao, out of respect.
sreenivas sripada on July 22, 2011 @akankshadevi Ghantasala's expertise in singing and command over music is
simply superior to rafi and others , hence ghantasala will be always ahead
of rafi - even in voice factor, the strength and depth of ghantasala mixed
with his melody is unmatching - no other singer has that verstatile
achievements in indian playback singing. That is why rafi stated after
singing this song that I cannot match ghantasala despite huge practise.
Purely from hindi field rafi is great, as musician inferior.
sreenivas sripada on July 22, 2011 @akankshadevi Rafi struggles in many areas in the song, in rag as well as
other areas, not comfortable similar to lata mangeshkar who is superior to
rafi in this song, However, lata too does not match ghantasala, who was
extraordinary in the original telugu version, Both lata and rafi wanted
ghantasala to sing this song in hindi. Rafi tried to sing like ghantasala
by practise but MD adi told rafi that singing like ghantasala is not
possible, so rafi sang in his way.
Saffronwing1 on July 30, 2011 the hindi version is no less in any way than the original, and very sensibly the greats were chosen to avoid an embarrasment.
Debooou on August 10, 2011 Can you or anyone upload originial telgu version by Ghantasala ji?
rgh1986aka199 on August 16, 2011 rafi killed it
Gurvijay Gill on August 16, 2011 @rgh1986aka199 and now we have to spank u .. little kid !!
rgh1986aka199 on August 17, 2011 @gurvijaybecker lol
dc shah on September 11, 2011 What a Composition...!!! too good
ib422000 on December 02, 2011 @MrK1r1n I reluctantly have to agree with you on this opinion. Probably
Yesudas or even Manna Dey would have been more suited for this composition.
MrPartha56 on December 12, 2011 Where from Adinaryana Rao could have got Yesudas in 1959? Manna Da,s voice
never suited the regular heroes. He himself acknowledged umpteen number of
times that Rafi was a better singer and he all his remained and still
remains a fan of Rafi saab. Listen to Rafi saab's gamaks in the first
stanza tuned in Raag Sohini and the melody he poured through his voice in
the last stanza based on Yaman Kalyan. None is comparable to Rafi saab.
ib422000 on December 12, 2011 @MrPartha56 I have been a devoted fan of Rafi for 65 years. Also, Lata and
all the masters of that golden era. But, I do not believe that I cannot
have my own opinions. I still think that Rafi Sahib's voice and great style
was not suited to this song. I Also think that Lata Mangeshkar should have
stopped recording for films years ago. Thank you.
Aziz Mohammed on December 17, 2011 beautiful song
Somasundarampillai Muthukumaraswamy on January 24, 2012 beautiful song with so many turns in it. The great Mohd Rafi and Lata do
justice to this creation by Aadhi Narayana Rao (music director), husband of
Anjali Devi, the star of the movie.
Somasundarampillai Muthukumaraswamy on January 24, 2012 @MrPartha56 you live in a different era. From your tone, it looks you are
not a classical music lover.
Ritesh Patel on January 25, 2012 Lata is clearly much better than Jikki from original song. Ghantashala is
better than Rafi. But, Lata is best in all. I would have been a treat to
listen Lata and Ghantashala singing this song.. but this is a true gem of
Indian Classical Music.
Mohammed Hameed on February 27, 2012 I love to hear this beautiful classical song on audio only.
ShivKumar44 on March 19, 2012 @OAzgarKhan0:In Telegu this was sung by Ghantasala and P.Sushila but they
were not awarded. In1955 Rafi and Lata were awarded.Best composition of Adi
Narayan Rao and Bharat Vyas. I have that number (Telegu) in my collection.
Aparna Raja K.C on March 19, 2012 damn good one
Bhoopalan Srinivasan on March 23, 2012 No doubt, Shri.Ghantasala is a master of his own and he has no one to match
his voice which far superior in may ways and hundreds of millions of
Telugus and Tamils love him and also Susheela Amma who is also equally
great! If the awards and rewards have not reached them then they are low in
status to their personality and great achievements and attainments! LONG
LIVE GHANTASALA'S NAME IN THE CINEMATIC SANGEETHAM!
archana singh on March 28, 2012 nodoubt lata ji better than rafi ji ,lata ji is nightangle ,lata ji can
sing o duniya ke rakhwale,i think lata ji voice is banaoti lag rahi hai
,kashish nahi hai ,but rafi ji voice kashish hai ,laraz hai,jo music nahi
jante woh kuch bhi bol sakte hai ,
archana singh on March 28, 2012 why some people jealous with rafi ,
essaargee on March 30, 2012 I AM a music lover - be it any language, I am thrilled by good music. In
this song, Latha ji excelled; but listen to the original Telugu song
rendered by Ghantasala & P Suseela and this song one after the other time
and again; you can appreciate the difference. Leave aside the bias of
language and regionalism - music is music. It is a universal language.
archana singh on April 03, 2012 you are correct ,bade sangeet karo ne ,apne bayan mein phle hai kahdiya tha
,rafi ji ka muakabal ,na tuo lata ji kar pai hai gane mein ,lakin kuch log
such ko juntha mein tabdeel karna chathe hai, yeh sawal bade se bade
classical singer se pucho ,woh lata ji ji ki tarfi kar deega ,thanks unn
music director jo such bale gaye ,warna hambhi unki tarha ha tha,yeh baat
galat hai ki sab apni jaga barabar hai ,har adami ki apni ayk jagah hai
,warna quality ka pataa kasia chalega ,but, all are bestindia
Bharat Bhushan Bhagat on April 21, 2012 Thanks for uploading this great composition of Adi Narayana Rao.
0AzgarKhan0 on April 21, 2012 You have better quality? If yes then plz upload.
Jai9raj on April 22, 2012 People from south refuse to recognize talent beyond the Vindyas.Rafi is matchless if you consider the sheer range this man possesed he has hardly left any genre untouched .This song has a South Indian flavour and its a remake. So its natural South Indian musicians will sound more natural than musicians from the North.Yet both Md.Rafi Saab and Lataji did an excellent job. I wonder how Ghantashala would have sounded singing, ' Hum Bhekhudi Mein Tumko' or ' Yeh Isque Isque Hai Ishque Isque' !
Shravan Kumar on April 22, 2012 susheelamma has sung this same song in tamil and telugu...lataji is only
second best to PS
Zubair Ahmad on April 28, 2012 YAAR KAISE KAISE GAANE LOAD KARTE HO. JAAN LE LOGE KYA. IN GANO PE JAAN BI
CHIDAK DE KAM HAI.
Ranjit Gulvady on April 30, 2012 for god sake stop comparing two great singers. they were both legends in
their own rights..
archana singh on May 03, 2012 ok ranjit as you wish ,lata ji great ps is great ,both legend ,one more
bharat ratan give to lata ji , rafi ji ki awaz or gayaki 5000 hazar saal
tak bhi nahi samaj sakeyagay log ,
Amrita Purabia on May 07, 2012 RAFISAAB BHARI PADE HAI LATAJI PER HATS OFF
Jugal Shukla on May 09, 2012 very very sweet song since it's inceptions to today, great singing by rafi
sab as well lataji, thanks to oAzgarkhan for uploading.
breezyawaaz on May 18, 2012 Rafi, is national treasure.and whole of India adores him...whether it is
East, West, North or South...
breezyawaaz on May 18, 2012 Tamil, Telugu version is also good no doubt on that.., but when compared
to Hindi version, I feel Hindi version is a bit ahead of other too.
Shravan Kumar on May 18, 2012 its 100 percent P Susheela..i think u can check every possible website
..its thesulavuthe .. in Tamil. GHANTASALA AND P SUSHEELA ..
Satya Komatineni on May 28, 2012 First voice of Telugu
derdhriti on June 05, 2012 What's the RAGA on which this song is based?
piyaal7up on June 13, 2012 As far as my knowledge approaches, this song has been a wonderful
combination of four different Ragas, i.e. Basanta, Yaman, & two other...
Will someone complete the name of remaining two Ragas ?
kumcha3 on June 14, 2012 In fairness to the ladies, Jikki, P.Suseeka and Lata, they all sang very
well.Jikki and Lata have both managed to sing giving it a lighter
touch.P.Suseela probably wanted to keep tempo with Ghantasala's rich voice.
shradhapati singh on June 17, 2012 A semi classical music I think based on raga basant..pl correct me if I am
wrong
archana singh on June 19, 2012 lata ji is always best with rafi ji ,lata is great singer than rafi ,ayek
ayek alfaz shaffafaf hai, urdu or arabi mein woh rafi ji bohat agay
thien, award bhi rafi ji se zada unke pass hai ,rafi ji ne kaha tha mein
bahut kuch lata ji se sekha hun ,lata ji tuo nightangle hai rafi ji unke
jisa nahi ga sakte ,lata ji ne rafi ji ko gane mein hardiya hai ,par suchai
chup nahi sakti banwata ke usulon se kushbu aa nahi sakti kagaz ke phoolon
se ,
archana singh on June 21, 2012 nushaud ji and shankar jay kishan ne galti kardi woh jikki or ghantashla se
hi gane gawane chayia tha, jo rafi ji ne apni purkasish awaz mein gaye tha
,jikki or ghantasla ka alfaz se phool barse rahe hain, kabhi rafi ji ko
samne gate sunn te tu dil or dimag ka sahi fasala de pate,
Milahi1935 on June 22, 2012 Although lata has been given the lead in this duet, her range is less than
rafi's. Rafi has excelled in range and equalled in the moorkian. It would
be unfair to call lata better by listening to this duet only. I think rafi
was a much better singer and lata could not sing oh duniya Kay rakhwaley as
well as rafi. Rafi was a miracle.
Srinivasa Rao on June 22, 2012 Ragas used: Sohini, Bahar, Jivanpuri, Yaman
Srinivasa Rao on June 22, 2012 Ragas used: Hamsanandhi (Sohini), Kaanada (Bahar), Jonpuri (Jivanpuri),
Yaman Kalyani (Yaman)
Srinivasa Rao on June 22, 2012 I heard this song, both in Telugu and Hindi versions more than hundred
times. I do not know reason, I did not feel melody in Hindi song. Music has
no bias for language. I feel certainly tempo is missing in Hindi version.
Listen carefully, the flow stops in seconds and continues, which is not in
case of original song. I feel Master Adi Narayana Rao is original judge to
decide.
archana singh on July 02, 2012 lata ji and ghantashala or jikki are better than rafi ji ,sonu nigam is
better than rafi ji ,give bharat ratan to sonu nigam ,even rafi have
already told in his life ,every singer are better than him ,be happy
archana singh on July 02, 2012 i cant speak tamil or understand ,but i can understand voice quality ,if
rafi is not suited this song ,its mean music director did mistake, but i
hear this in tamil ,i feel that old man or women are singing ,in hindi
version young man or women are singing ,but all are good ,if rafi ji is
deserve no one in voice quality ,then we should give him respectfully ,
Milahi1935 on July 04, 2012 I am very impressed by rafi in this duet. The way this duet has been
composed, rafi had to keep his range low on purpose so that lata would not
be out classed in range. The music had to go as high as lata's range would
go. Rafi could go much higher, as he has done elsewhere, in songs like too
Ganga ki mauj, o dunya key rakhwaley and hundreds of other songs. Rafi was
a gift to music and I have not heard any body like him, even amongst the
opera singers of the west. He was greater than Caruso, Ma
