Though very quiet in real life, Sridevi had a subtle sense of humor which only Madhubala had. Madhuri comes close but cannot equal her no matter how good she was and is.

I, for one, agree with you 100% but I think there are many people who do not find the idea of a "mansel in distress" :) very appealing..they dont think itz romantic or watevs...codswallop in my opinion but datz just it..itz only my opinion!

U r rite."heroic" roles are suited for men because it is portrayed in a "hero-like" or masculine fashion..that is why wonderwoman looks sooo cheesy coz they applied the same idea as superman to a woman..we have to realize that women have different qualities than men and it is when we play these strong points we can make successful female superheroes..Lara Croft in Tomb Raider, for example and many others that I can't recollect right now.guys some help?

Sri's coming timing is simply to put it amazing. No others can come near her where this is concerned. A true artist who was so versatile and one of the best in bollywood! SO what if she wasn't in the top ten silver jubilee hit actress list..A good performer is always a good performer regardless of silver jubilee hits!

Though I like Madhuri , but you cannot deny Sri was equally good ,her comic timing was superb,
unfortunately post 60s no actresses have memorable classic films due to lack of good directors , sri and madhuri too belong to this category , only rekha with umrao jaan is mentionable ,sri was wasted in most 2 actress films where one heroine had to die.Commercial success does not mean good films . I wish guru dutt and other directors were alive so she could be used what she is worth of
