I get goose pimples when I listen to this song!!! One of the finest songs
of Rafi saab!! What lyrics .. never heard such beautiful poetry (Shakeel
Badayuni) so beautifully rendered!!! And what composition by Naushad Saab.
Looks all the GODS came and blessed when this composition was being made!!!

unforgettable event in my life-I saw this film in jan 1964 with my wife and
mother in a theatre in Mangalore just before my son was born-what a voice,
what a melody, what lyrics! Secodly I remember my BinL Dr.MNR Rao, former
principal of an Eng college who was fan of Sadhana, now he is no more.

Sad that not many people know much about Rafi Sahab! Actually, he was the
first to yodel but gave up as he felt Kishore Kumar's yodel in his baritone
voice sounded better!! Also, Rafi Sahab has sung for Kishore in a couple of
movies as Kishore could not sing hard core classical based songs. I fail to
understand why people compare Rafi & Kishore? Both have totally different
voices & sing different genres!!! Please stop comparing the two great
singers!

My love with hindi's song starts when I was still a boy. I'm a Malay & a
Malaysian. During 60's and early 70's it is common for most of malay's
wedding ceremony plays hindi's songs. There's where I start liking hindi
songs especially old hindi songs sang by M.Rafi Ji and Lata Ji. When this
film was released in 1963, I was still a small boy. I must say this song is
the 'Most' I like it. No words can describe my feeling towards this
song..such a master piece...2b cont.

Sadhana aka Husna in this film realy kills me with her beauty especially
her smile. The lycrics of this poet is so beautiful and so wonderful so as
the song. I have changed the lycrics to malays and make it to praise my

While writting this comment I'm seeing this video caption and still makes
heart singing together. In 1970,s I still remember I followed my father to
attend his relative's wedding. Since he is marrying a daughter of a well
known politician, the wedding looks grand. 2 days before the 'akad' they
started the ceremony. All day long except during praying time they played
hindi song songs especially from M.Rafi n Lata. One of that song that
played again and again is this 'killer' song mere mehboob

When I passed the place which is located in my village i.e. kampung pulau,
labu, n.sembilan, Malaysia. I will the nostalgia as if it happen just a few
days and make my heart cries remembering my late father. M.Rafi sahab is a
treasure sent by God not only for India but also to Malaysia. I pray may
