One of the jewels , not known by many , bt really awesome , proves Rahman
can handle any kinda song. Also Water is the only album which Rahman
himself has rated as 10/10 : )

Bollywood has turned its back on a lot of amazing singers from the 90s. I recently discovered Sadhana's work in South India and I am very impressed, and glad to see she is still making great music (same for the incomparable Udit Narayan)!

AR Rahman is the best Bollywood has to offer now. Every other soundtrack is so western, and trying to be hip with the rapping english lyrics - ugh!

You are right..the mukda sounds similar!! but this song cannot be exactly
inspired by "Purab Se...", it is all thanks to Raag Bhatiyaar...this raag
is extensively used in both the songs!!

What is music...? Musical phrases created on Scales and Arpeggios.
Ragam...or Scale comprising of 3 or more notes. Arpeggios 1s & 3s and 5ths.
Every music is based on this theory. Any music created by composers are
based on this theory only. Whether Rehman or any composer can not anything
beyond this. Only thing is that selecting scales /ragas according to
situation and ones interest. Melody.a pleasant phrase - for one's ears.

My ever favourite song ever! Tears roll down each time I listen to it.
Rahman ji and Sadhana ji, i touch ur feet. Such a wonderful divine
composition by ARR sir and singing by Sadhana ji! And i don't know if
people know, this amazing lyrics is penned down by none other than
Sukhwinder Singh, whom we all know just as a singer. He's also penned down
three other songs in the same Movie. And should also congratulate the
makers of the film for giving such importance for good music. God Bless!

lyrics credits goes to Sukhwinder. I do not know if all those info on
websites are wrong or something. You can check right from wikipedia even.
