lieberso on October 29, 2008 Really? I wonder why he chose this one. Not that it's bad, but there are so many ... more spectacular one.
psycho2101 on November 25, 2008 This song is a perfect example of synchronization between the actor and the playback singer. Rafi and Shammi are so well matched. Notice how every step and action are in harmony with the voice modulations.
mumbaikar91 on December 25, 2008 Shankar-Jaikishan are the greatest.
BITElvisking on February 03, 2009 Mohd rafi was never under-rated.He got all the respect he deserved from Indian Film Industry,he won plenty of best singer Awards year after year and even the Indian Govt - bestowed Padma Shri !
rajoldsongs on February 18, 2009 beautiful lyrics.I wonder if shammi kapoor himself choreographed this song.Perfect synchro between rafi saab and sk

Punjabilad60 on July 23, 2009 I was born listening to Mohd Rafi, he is my Hero. Even I do not have the words that can describe this wonderful man.
Now, Rafi is not amongst us, but that divine voice and soul will never fade from this earth. He was, and remains, a major force in film music, the music of love, despair, hope, humoretc. Rafis voice had the healing capability. His music is as calm, as raging, as deep, as beautiful. It is the manifestation of the goodness and the divine. God Bless Him for ever. Ameen.
mvashi56 on August 08, 2009 Wonder how can you say that KishorKumar is not even half of Rafi.you are comparing apples with oranges. Both of them had different singing styles.
People who know music will never make comparisions.
imrohit7 on August 09, 2009 yes friend, you are right, both had different styles and there should not be any comparison... like they say "there should not be wars" but it does... and then I am talking about the result... there are few things in this world which can not be compared like listening to rafi, watching sachin's batting, watching michael phelps swimming and many more just because they all are gifted and when they are performing it looks as if god himself is present and performing.
mvashi56 on August 10, 2009 I do agree with your comments and at the same token it could be applied to Kishore Kumar,Mukesh and to a great extent Manna Dey too.
As for Manna Dey, talk to people who listen to Rabindra sangeet and he is rated very highly.
Offhand a few compositions sung by KK comes to my mind is
Khushi do ghadi ki mile na mile
Panthi hun main , both composed by KK himself in Door ka Rahi
who can forget the songs from Door Gagan ki Chaaon mein and Jhumroo...
the list is endless for both Rafi and KK.
ashycool on August 12, 2009 KK's lack of professional training limits him to just lighthearted songs. (eg. 'Ke pag Ghungroo' from Namak Halaal has a part with classical alaap. This part was sung by some other singer instead of KK since he could not do it). I am a singer with no professional training. I never compare myself r claim to be better than a trained one, since I know I cannot have the range of the latter. But Yes, both Rafi and KK have their distinctive styles and both are exceptionally good to listen to.
himsingz on August 16, 2009 This song Kishore would have added more zing than Rafi. He had that lovely clear, edgy timbre in his voice, particularly at the time this film was made. Rafi sounds very good, but his voice us too smooth for this song.
sundew78 on August 27, 2009 how many trained singers are there who can sing half as Mohd Rafi sung the songs??
khalidmehmoodjan on September 23, 2009 it is fact that Muhammad Rafi was a great singer. fact is fact, listen his voice and compere to others you will find that kishore and mukesh were not even half of Rafi. khalid jan mumanday.
smmubashir on September 24, 2009 thr is no word in the dictionary which can describe mohd rafi saab, fantastic, superb, excellent , voice and a good human beiing cool, polite etc etc etc
smmubashir on September 24, 2009 no doubt the greatest of all
7Kanchan on October 10, 2009 I like this song very much. Wah Kya Ada Hei""" I Love Rafi forever.
dbninhouston on October 25, 2009 cannot compare the two. they were both great , KK in his own unique way, Rafi ji we all know. wrong to compare the two. leave it be!
khalidmehmoodjan on October 28, 2009 Rafi's voice fullfuls the empty space. amazing voice, sweet like an instrument
guddoym on January 06, 2010 This is one of the most beautiful hindi songs I have ever heard. Then again , it is that magic combination of Shankar-Jaikishen/Rafi/Shammi Kapoor. It will still sound superb in 50 years time.
rr88els on January 12, 2010 @khalidmehmoodjan i would like to see anyone sing as well as kishore kumar, manna dey, mohd rafi saab or any of the legends. why debate about all of this? i dont understand! let your ears enjoy the melody, if you like it then alls well, if you dont like it then go listern to something else. i challenge anyone to say that they like ALL the songs that a singer has ever sang. you cant!!!! all singers have their own generes and limits so enjoy.. this is music enjoy it for what it is!!

LilQuacker45 on March 07, 2010 Nazar Bachakar Chale Gaye To Var Naa Ghaayal Kar Deta...Dil Se Dil Takra Jata to, Dil Mein Agni Bhar Deta Var Naa Ghaayal Kar Deta is such a sweet & truly melodious adorable song quite delectable amongst so many during the 40s - 80s & even later on...the benevolent Lord has brought within the hearts & aspects of so many beings (the credit really goes to Lord Rasraaj Shyamsundar) for creating us all as in such a time to let us all experience His kindness of His Love for us (glimpses of heavens).
pikluable on March 07, 2010 yes,of-course Hemant Kumar was unique with his golden voice,i've also high regard for him, thank u for reminding me.
loogarth on April 20, 2010 Beautiful sound by Rafi. Just love it tremendously.
One of my favourites. Shammi compliments Rafi's voice flawlessly as usual.

ajaikumar077 on May 21, 2010 Mere Rafi Sahib Tuse GREAT ho. Aap ka Jawab hai he nahi . WAH...
shortie0306 on May 24, 2010 First two line simple translation: My persona would have surely impressed you but left after ignoring me , I would have fired your heart if it had crossed mine.
altaf204 on July 02, 2010 such a beautiful voice rafi saab has brings a tear to my eye...will always be missed a true legend
Dx24681 on July 24, 2010 Mohd Rafi the greatest singer sang for the best shammi kapoor
AKafghan08 on October 15, 2010 if I was alive in the year 3000 i would still be listening to Mohammad Rafi's songs :)
Melancong48 on December 14, 2010 there was only one Mohd Rafi who brought fame to the Hindi movies and music..with Shammi Kapoor as a lead actor in every box office films..not forgetting Mala Sinha who I admired till this day...I wonder if she is still single or married...but she was young at that time n how old is she when she acted on this film.
missoni2009 on February 28, 2011 very sweet and melodious song. Rafi, Shammi and S-J team was one of the best. Beautifully constructed by S-J. Rafi saab is too sweet in this one.
Milahi1935 on May 10, 2011 This song should have got the filmfare award that year. The liveliness of the tune is highlighted by the lively voice of Rafi. rafi has been recognized as the best singer of the millennium by the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. I am surprised that the western ear could appreciate the great talent of this singer.
