Aishwarya should have never take up the role of Umrao Jaan to dance Kathak
Mujra style songs... her movements are just too stiff and fast... There is
no grace at all in her movements... She is better with dance in movies like
Devdas without Mujra style dancing.

soooo i watched the rekha version just to see what the fuss was all about
and i thought rekha and aish did equally good jobs, the interpretations
were different so u can't really compare but i liked them both

@htwootwo well she might not be trained in kathak..i think she did
kuchipudi or bharatanatyam. its not fair to say that she's not good, when
she probably learned this dance in a short period of time. but of course
there are going to be much better dancers that aren't on screen. :) I think
Aishwarya's dance is quite beautiful (but I've never done kathak, only
bharatanatyam so I wouldn't know)
